NEW* SNOM School Health Services COVID-19 Response & Recovery Checklist and Appendices

 Greetings SNOM Members -

School nurses’ expertise is vital in planning and establishing a safe school environment for students and staff this fall. Minnesota School Nurse leaders assembled the SNOM School Health Services COVID-19 Response & Recovery Checklist and Appendices, a compendium of practical implementation strategies, to assist school nurses in meeting the myriad of demands for multi-pronged plans.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provide guidance for schools based on sound science and public health principles. The SNOM School Health Services COVID-19 Response & Recovery Checklist and Appendices contain reminders of key points and offers suggestions shared by members.

Content is current as of the publication date. Given the changing nature of the pandemic and advances in public health and science, MDH, MDE and CDC Guidance changes frequently. Check for updates.

Nurses, as one of the most trusted conveyors of health information, provide a clear, constant voice in the current chaotic COVID-19 environment.

SNOM members can access the documents by logging into the SNOM website, going to the Member Center and clicking on the links to download the documents.

The documents on the website are in pdf format.  If you would like the  documents in Word, log into the SNOM Community on the NASN School Nurse Net.  The documents are in our library.
