• Description
  • Licensed School Nurse is responsible for coordinating health care for individual students and the population of students including training, delegation, monitoring, and supervision of health care delivered by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and other school staff. Member of the Special Education team providing nursing assessments and educational support services to special needs students.

  • Minnesota School Nurse License
  • Registered Nurse in Minnesota
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • Strong Licensed School Nurse experience with excellent supervisory skills

• Responsibilities
  • To develop and monitor the nursing services delivered to special education students located at Alliance Education Center in Rosemount, MN and other satellite sites in Dakota County.
  • To inservice staff on safe health practices and health related problems, including instruction in CPR and basic first aid.
  • To write individual health plans and coordinate the administration of medications in accordance with school policy and state regulations.
